UPDATES

CLASSES BEGIN on 7/20

Beginning on 7/20, we will begin offer group classes. The schedule will be limited, but we will add classes as needed. You will sign up exactly how you used to via mind body. The only change is that MAT classes will now be PRE-REGISTERED, meaning you must sign up ahead to reserve your spot. If no one is signed up 2 hours before class time, class will be cancelled out. This has always been the policy in the APPARATUS room, and will remain the same.

CLASS PACKAGES

If you were previously on a monthly package, it will resume. However many days you had left when the package was frozen will go back on your account, and then it will renew after that. If anyone does not want to continue with a monthly package, please contact me and we can work this out on an individual basis. For everyone else, our drop-in and class packs are available. Mat classes are a different price point than apparatus classes, but pricing is all the same as it was prior to the shut down.

PRIVATES & SEMI-PRIVATES AVAILABLE IN PERSON AND VIRTUALLY!

If you would like to supplement your classes, get personal attention and work on specifically what you want to, while being in a private environment, or in your own home, you can book a private or semi-private with a friend/family member! For virtuals, we use Google Meet which is super simple and works great for virtual privates and semi-privates. I simply e-mail or text you a link, you click it when it's your scheduled time, and we are set!

Click here to text me or here to email me if you want to set up a private or semi-private.

POLICIES & PROCEDURES FOR RE-OPENING

BUILDING-WIDE SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

1.         TEST has contracted a fully insured local cleaning company that will be deep cleaning and disinfecting the entire facility 7 days per week with 6 Labor hours in the evening, they have also contracted a Porter to be present for an additional hour in the morning during higher traffic times to wipe down and disinfect highly touchable areas like door knobs, hand rails, counter tops, table tops etc.

2.      The cleaning company will be using a Disinfectant Misting Machine that will spray a disinfecting mist daily on all the machines and in the aerial room as well, so the hammocks will also be sprayed.

3.         TEST has ordered touchless paper towel dispensers, touchless hand soap dispensers, and touchless hand sanitizing stations to help mitigate the spread of the virus.  As you can imagine these have become very popular, so these items will be installed immediately as they arrive.

4.          TEST has ordered 350 masks that they will be handing out for free for the first 350 people that enter the facility. They are a black cloth that has the ability to cover your nose down to your neck with a design of a faded American flag to remind us that we're all in this together. These will be from TEST sports apparel partner’s Alpha Prime. This includes TDS and any of the businesses in the building! TEST wanted to at least provide something a little friendlier and more comfortable than a PPE mask that pulls your ears forward and fogs up your glasses.

5.         TEST has had UV lighting and installed into the HVAC system to kill any virus or bacteria that may be airborne in the gym.

6.        Every business within TEST will be conducting temperatures checks upon entry, with a no touch thermometer.  As per the CDC recommendations, if you have a fever of 100.4 or higher, you will be denied access to the facility.  You may then return after you are fever free for 48 hours.

TRUE DEFINITION POLICIES & ADDITIONAL CHANGES

7.     You are required to wear your mask until you are at your Pilates machine or mat spot, and then they are optional, but recommended to continue to wear while you are working out.  Should you choose not to wear them during your workout, please hang them on the side of the tower you are stationed at.

8.        Classes will be limited to 11 people in the aerial /mat room, and Reformer and Tower classes will remain at 7 people per class. ALL CLASSES INCLUDING MAT CLASSES WILL NOW BE PRE-REGISTERED. This means that if there is no one signed up for class 2 hours before class time, the class will be cancelled out. This is not only required by the government but it ensures that our instructors are not coming out and risking any exposure for no one to end up coming to the class. This will also allow the instructors to lay out props and set up each machine or spot appropriately for the amount of people registered for class.

9.      We have moved the reformers to meet the 6’ social distancing guidelines.  The aerial silks are all spaced more than 6 feet apart and will serve as our markers for distancing in mat classes as well.

10.    All classes and privates will be 55 minutes versus 60 minutes to allow time for people to leave the building and wipe down their machines in apparatus classes. We ask that you remain in your car or outside the building until class is just about to begin. This will enable us to have less people in the studio at once.

11.    If you are attending an apparatus class you will now be entering directly through our TRUE DEFINITION double doors which is the door you see as soon as you drive up the hill into the parking lot. If you are attending a mat class, you can enter through TEST’s lobby, and through our door that is near the bathroom.

12.     You will be required to wash your hands or hand sanitize before and after every workout.

13.    For reformer classes, Fuzzies have been replaced (for now!) with the single loops from the tower, this means that you will not have to switch them between handles and fuzzies and also the single loops are easier to clean than the fuzzies.

14.    Props that will be used for class in either room will be laid out for you. This is in order to eliminate digging through the crates, or touching several things around to get the appropriate prop. Our instructors will wash or sanitize their hands prior to setting them up at your machine/spot. You will leave them for the instructor to collect and sanitize at the end of class.

15.   There will be no FUSE classes in the apparatus room for now to ensure less touching/changing of equipment. Our instructors will make sure that all of the machines are set up ahead of time.

16.   We will not be doing any physical adjustments in any of our classes to avoid personal contact.

17.   We ask that you bring your own mat for any of our mat classes. Feel free to bring any of your own props to classes as well, if that makes you more comfortable.

18.   If we have Aerial Yoga classes, we will eliminate any moves inside the hammock until further notice. Silks are sprayed down with Lysol after every class and as mentioned above, will also be sprayed with the mist machine daily. We will also wash the silks that have been used every week. Please note that the virus is unlikely to be contracted via fabric and our aerial classes will be spaced out a day or more apart.

19.    We will now have disinfectant wipes to clean down the machines after class, as this is also less touching of the spray bottles/towels, etc. Our instructors will place a wipe on your machine at the end of the class. In the mat room, if you would like to clean down your own mat, a wipe will be provided. The instructors will disinfection props and silks.

20.    We ask that you please remove your shoes before coming into the studio. There are three sets of shoe cubbies, one by the front double doors, one in the hall by the bathroom, and one in the aerial room by the sinks. Please carry your shoes to the cubbies rather than take them off at the cubbies.

21.    Closed-toe sticky socks are now required for all classes. We sell them, but you can order them essentially anywhere, please make sure that they have grips on the bottom. If aerial dance resumes, you may wear socks without grips if sliding is required; your instructor will advise.

22.   We have installed cameras in the studio. This is for the safety and benefit of everyone. We will now be fully aware of anyone that is in the studio for germ safety as well. It will also enable Toni to communicate via the intercom directly with teachers to keep in contact and ensure these rules are all being followed.'

23.   Remember, we also have 30 FREE classes on our YouTube channel; subscribe and check them out! There will be a limited schedule for classes until further notice. Privates, Semi-Privates both in person and virtually are all available to schedule and is a great way to supplement your workouts.

23.    Please note, all doors to TDS are locked, thus no one will be entering the studios except the cleaning crew, teachers and clients by appointment. Gym traffic does not go through the studios which is reinforced with the new security/camera system. In addition, TEST is only currently open for outdoor classes and indoor privates and semi-privates by appointment only as they are in a different class than fitness studios, so there is still a minimal amount of people coming through the building in general.

24.   Remember, we also have 30 FREE classes on our YouTube channel; subscribe and check them out! There will be a limited schedule for classes until further notice. Privates, Semi-Privates both in person and virtually are all available to schedule and is a great way to supplement your workouts.

Please contact me with any questions and concerns. I look forward to seeing everyone again. Although it will take some adjusting and patience, soon this will be our new norm. Let's work together as we acclimate on this journey!

Lots of Love,

P.S. Our retreat is still on! This August 7-10 and I know many of you are probably dying for a little vacation / break!  FYI- Vermont is the lowest case state outside of Alaska and Hawaii (50 deaths total). We are technically quarantining when we arrive because we will be staying under one dwelling and with the same group of people and only our people and it is basically in the middle of nowhere. No quarantining necessary on the way home either. Good Commons, our venue, has taken a ton of safety procedures themselves and I can forward them to you on request!  All of my procedures at the studio will apply here as well. It's about a 4.5 hr drive from Martinsville without stopping. Would love to take the time to reconnect and really dive into ourselves and build our self awareness both inside and out!
