Toni Porrello has been teaching in the fitness industry since 2006, and has over 1200 hours of training in Pilates mat & apparatus, Yoga, Prenatal Yoga, Aerial Yoga and Barre. She is also a published writer and holds a MFA in Creative Writing. She was a featured blogger on the press team for the Wanderlust 2013 VT Yoga Festival. She has appeared on numerous yoga and Pilates DVDs for the fitness company Regeneration of which she held part ownership. She is also an assistant to Eric Paskel, a nationally renowned yoga teacher who essentially invented doing yoga to rock music. She most recently assisted him at the Yoga Journal Conference in NYC.

Before teaching full time, she spent years working for a chiropractor and pain management doctor which gave her a deep and practical understanding of anatomy and the body systems well beyond her yoga and Pilates trainings. This knowledge of the body comes through in each of her classes, ensuring clients feel safe and well aligned while getting the most out of the movements offered. Her writing background enriches her teaching style with her ability to articulate and communicate with such clarity that despite any demonstrations offered, she could be followed precisely with her words alone.

A bit of a renaissance woman, she was also a featured singer on the Grammy award winning children's album Songs From The Neighborhood: A Tribute to Mr. Rogers in 2006, and her EP of original music "Smells Like Rain" was featured in Brazil's popular magazine: SPEAK UP in 2011. She has been writing music and singing  since childhood and plays the piano and ukulele. In her spare time, she works on crocheted crafts and makes paper and fabric flowers for all occasions.

After a life changing experience in Eric Paskel's Life Training in Costa Rica, she realized that owning a studio of her own was a dream that she was bound to make reality.  Things fell into place in a way that clearly showed her how much it was meant to be.  Opening True Definition Studios, where people come to define themselves from the inside out, is a dream come true. Toni strives to make each class a unique experience, truly becoming acquainted with the body and the mind all while having a blast!
